Devils Space !

I see the world RED…I really do since I started following a football club that is based out of Old Trafford, England. So what makes me, a simple bloke from a cricket crazy nation some 5000 miles from the ‘Theatre Of Dreams’ follow a club that has got nothing to do with me whatsoever?

Is it the bunch of players that come out week in and week out to play this beautiful game beautifully? I guess NO. There are many other teams that play likewise. So why Man Utd? May be its because of a single player who,with his scintillating skills, continues to dumbfound me. Again the reply is NO. The players have come and they have gone but my loyalties have not switched. Or is it the Coach who had taken charge 2 decades ago and still has the child like passion to jump over whenever the team scores a winning goal? The answer again is NO. Frankly speaking I don’t have any idea why I get cold feet whenever the devils come out to play. I don’t know why my heart skips a beat when a devil takes his stance to hit a penalty. I don’t know. One thing I know for sure is that I simply adore this beautiful game. And this club with its rich history provides me a perfect vehicle to savor the magic that unfolds itself on a 100x75 m lush green surface over a duration of 90 min (and sometimes a little more! ).

To round of this post I would like to put down a quote by Gianluca Vialli, The former Italian striker and manager that sums up what United is to its millions of fans the world over - "When Manchester United are at their best I am close to orgasm."
